First and foremost designed to be used with a Steadicam, the Steadicar, now in its third version, has proven its versatility.
The operator’s seat is now motorized and allows a 210° rotation. A new arm system, specially designed by Walter Klassen, makes it possible for both regulars and goofys, to adjust the height of the arm, thus giving the cameraman the optimum position.





Light stabilizing systems

3 axis stabilizing systems such as the Stabe One  give almost instant expertise to those camera operators unfamiliar with the use of steadicam.  Combining the Steadicar with the Stab One opens up a whole new field of possibilities.  It becomes easy to follow actors on foot, and then on board of the Steadicar. It is now possible to vary the height of the lens while moving, thanks to the hydraulic crane.
It’s easier and faster to use than a classic shot on tracks.


Easy rig

Another possibility for the camera operators. Combining the Steadicar with the Easy Rig system that he masters, the camera operator will increase his range and his possibilities, with more angles and different heights.



Remote heads

A  breakthrough  for the Steadicar Model 3.   Monster Remotes, a well-established company based in New York, is currently adapting a Libra Head to the Steadicar. The first images should be soon available.



Shooting with two cameras

It’s been done for the first time on the set of Key and Peele, a Comedy Channel show. Charles Papert was the director of photography, and it was the first time he used the Steadicar, which he highly praised. It only requires a couple of quick and easy modifications –the focus puller’s seat has to be turned back, and a metal plate for the second operator’s feet has to be installed.
